Tier 5 will cover cultural exchanges or working holidays in the UK undertaken by young people.
If you are planning on applying after November 2008 you will need to apply under either the temporary workers category or the youth mobility scheme within the points-based system. The temporary workers category will be made up of five sub-categories:

• Temporary workers - creative and sporting
• Temporary workers - charity workers
• Temporary workers - religious workers
• Temporary workers - government authorised exchange
• Temporary workers - international agreement

The Youth Mobility scheme is the proposed replacement for the current Working Holidaymaker programme.

Tier 5 is a short-term immigration category and you will be expected to leave the United Kingdom when your permission to stay ends. You will only be able to come to the United Kingdom on the youth mobility scheme once.
