LIFE IN THE UK TEST
The Home Office first introduced this test on the 1st November 2005 for Naturalisation
On the 2 April 2007 it was then introduced for UK settlement applications
The purpose of this test is to assure the Home Office that the person applying for settlement or naturalisation can demonstrate they have
'sufficient knowledge' of the English language
To book this test
you must do it at least 3 days in advance of the test date and when you book your test, you have a choice of around 60 UK test centres to book with
You should prepare yourself for this test and obtain the official handbook
