Tier 5 Religious Workers

TIER 5 RELIGIOUS WORKERS

This visa type is for temporary workers working in the religious sector

THIS TIER WAS FIRST INTRODUCED TO THE UK IN NOVEMBER 2008

Tier 5 is governed by a UK sponsor, an organisation that is wiling to assign a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to the worker that is required to work to support a religious organisation.
The CoS will require the right SOC code and this SOC requires key information such as job title, work dates, remuneration package, employment hours and job description.

There are strict rules to who can apply under this route and the visa can only be issued for a maximum of 24 months.

This visa route has different immigration rules to the other Tier 5 visa routes

Did you know that if you are ordained and want to come to the UK under Minister of Religion, the Tier 2 visa route is up to 6 years with an option to settle in the UK after 5 years.
Even if you are not ordained, you might be eligible to apply under Tier 2 Minister of Religion
