Visa Curtailment

VISA CURTAILMENT

What if I receive a letter from the Home Office stating my visa has been curtailed?

If you receive such a letter, this means the visa expiry date that is shown in your Biometric Residence Permit or other Home Office permission document has been cancelled
When you receive such a letter it will say your leave has been curtailed and from the date of your letter you have 60 days to either:
In some instances you cannot apply for a new visa whilst in the UK, if you are unsure, contact us for guidance

What if my visa expires before the 60 days, can I stay for 60 days? No, if your visa expires before 60 days, you must
leave the UK or submit a fresh application to the Home Office

There are different rules for curtailment, it all depends on your visa type

We are currently updating this page and we will shortly explain more about visa curtailment
